  I went to walmart for my weddin cake because other people had recommended them. I went in a week before my wedding to confirm my order and pay the remaining balance. After an hour of looking, the staff could not find my cake order and said they would have someone call me later. I requested filling out a new order and they said if they couldn't find it later they would. Well i called later and they said they had already sent it out to be made. (So i never got to confirm my order, mistake #1). The morning of my wedding day, July 4, 2009, I went to walmart to pickup my cake. When they opened the box for my cake, it was the wrong cake. It was horrible and nothing close to what i ordered. One of the workers said they could scrap the frosting off and change it and make it the cake that i ordered. When we looked at the order form to see why this had happened, we discovered the person who had taken my order had written the wrong cake style down and the cake that was sitting there was the one she had wrote down, not the one I wanted. So I had to have my grandparent's pick up the cake later since I had a wedding to get ready for. Apparently when they picked the cake up and took it out of the box to put on the table, they noticed the cake was cracked. The frosting that they had redone was so thick on the cake that it cracked and my grandparents had to try to smooth it out so you couldn't see it. It was finally close to being the right cake in apperance but the frosting was so thick on it most people had to scrap it off when they ate it. The tast of the cake was wonderful, it was just the drama I had to go through that i didn't appreciate on my wedding day especially since I tried to make sure everything was right a week before hand.
